Anil Jacob Kunnel is an author and filmmaker. He studied Communication Science, English Studies and German Studies in Münster, Honolulu and Bangalore, completing a Master's thesis on digital poverty reduction in India. He later obtained a doctorate with an interdisciplinary dissertation on „Trust in the Digital Age“ on behalf of the German Research Foundation. Born in Ostwestfalen to parents from Kerala, he is interested in how this part of German (and Indian) history can be responsibly documented and processed – and what implications this has for our globalised society today.
