Nisa is a sociologist and development policy expert. She worked for 15 years as an education officer for development policy, during which time she passionately designed and facilitated seminars and conferences, acquired funding, and voluntarily participated in intercultural projects. Together with her father, brother, and close friends, she published the book „InderKinder“ in 2012 and founded the association „Schatzkammer Oberwinter e.V.“ in 2014 – a social and cultural space for everyone. Since 2015, she has been working as a coordinator for integration and refugee aid at Forum Ehrenamt, the voluntary agency for Königswinter and its surroundings. Nisa was also editorially involved for 20 years with the magazine „Meine Welt,“ which was dedicated to German-Indian dialogue, and served on the board of Südasienbüro e.V. She sees herself as a companion to people, a cultural translator, and an activist.
