He earned his doctorate from Heidelberg University and the University of California, Berkeley. As a founding member of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Global South Studies at the University of T\u00fcbingen, he works on topics such as decolonisation, care migration, religion, postcolonialism, and racism. He works for the City of Heidelberg as an anti-racism officer.
