Together with her son, she recounts her journey, which never ended, and what it was like to record her life story for the online archive WHO CARED.<\/p>\n<p>What boundaries does migration draw between the lived experiences of two generations? What yearnings shape them? How do the former nurses view care, migration and their own history? And what role is played in this by a society that knows little about it and repeats much of it.<\/p>\n<p>There will be Indian snacks and matching music to go with it. The discussion will be hosted by freelance journalist and former kohero editor-in-chief Sarah Zaheer.<\/p>\n<p>The online archive WHO CARED records the life stories of people who moved to another country many years ago to work in care. The current<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Focus<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>rests on nurses coming from the<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>South Indian Kerala<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>came to Germany. The special thing: they are interviewed by their children, grandchildren, nieces or nephews. Two video portraits are part of the exhibition \u201cCARE! When care becomes work\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The kohero magazine is a platform for inclusive reporting that makes the perspectives of people with a migration and refugee background visible. Through responsible journalism, the magazine aims to enable dialogue and social cohesion.<\/p>\n<p>In its current special exhibition \u201eCARE! When love becomes work\u201c, the Museum of Work focuses on care and the structures under which it takes place.
